A TWO PART WORKSHOP
Part 1
The children learn about beach cleans and the importance of recycling and what their rubbish can be turned into through an interactive drama workshop, followed by a playground/park or beach clean.

Part 2
With the rubbish the children collect, we take it away and turn it into stuffing for cuddly toys and return in a few weeks to explain how this is done to the children, who then get to stuff their own Sammy Seals and take home with them.

THE LIFE CYCLE OF A PLASTIC BOTTLE.. FROM TRASH TO TOYS!
The process begins with the plastic bottles being recycled.
The labels and caps are then removed, and the bottles go on to be cleaned and disinfected.
The plastic is then chopped down into flakes, melted and liquified.
They're then formed into small beads which can be repurposed!
The Life Cycle of a Plastic Bottle is a 2 part interactive and creative workshop, that educates children on the importance of recycling, and shows them what their rubbish can turn into if recycled properly, as well as how to become environmentally conscious, and sustainable superstars!
We believe that children learn best through first hand experiences and structured play, and our workshops help children develop their social awareness, recognise their sense of place in the world and consideration towards the environment.
The workshops are run by Jemma, a BA Hons student in Theatre and Performance, and can be adapted to fit specific needs for individuals or for a class.
All necessary materials will be provided by us.
